Annual Prize cum Concert

An Annual event held in the month of May / June, the Prize Day cum Concert is looked forward to by all students and staff alike. The programme is in two parts

i) Prize Distribution
ii) Cultural Programme.

Prizes are awarded to meritorious students for academics, Art, Computers and Projects. More prestigious awards are handed over to students with exemplary performance over the years. These awards and citations are given away by the Chief Guest / Guest of Honour for the day. This is followed by a brief address by the Principal to the parents/ guests, wherein the achievements of the year and future plans are revealed to all.

The Guest of Honour's speech is followed by a cultural programme, which is an amalgamation of colours, light, talent, creativity and enthusiasm depicting humanity, peace and love.



Apeejay Schools Kolkata celebrated its annual concert and prize day on 27th August 2016 at RabindraSadan. The theme of this year’s concert was ATMAN DARSHAN” which translated in English means ‘MIND SCAPE’. To grace the occasion was none other than Sri. SugataMarjit, Ex-Vice Chancellor, Calcutta University, EX-Chairman of West Bengal Higer Education Council and RBI Chair Professor of Industrial Economics


The prize distribution ceremony followed which was a major highlight of the day. It was long awaited by the students, parents and teachers alike. Awards were given to the children for academic as well as co-scholastic excellence. The prizes were given for every class and departments of the school. Not only were the academically brilliant students felicitated, those children who put in their best efforts to reach their goal as per their respective limits were also honoured .Some of the categories of the awards were:

  • Best All Round Performance
  • Award for outstanding effort
  • Best in Academics.
  • Anand Paul and Jeet Paul Citation Awards


Special prizes in different categories included:

  • Award for Social Service
  • Abhinav Shroff Memorial Award –Spicmacay
  • Agnibesh Dutta Memorial award
  • Each One Teach One
  • Awards for Sports


An interesting array of programmes followed. More than 900 students participated in a colourful cameo of dance tableau with a finesse that speaks of resilient practice and commitment. Perfection was the outcome.
